Brazilian Passion Fruit Mousse
While in Brasil, I loved this dessert from the moment I tried it. Simple and delicious, this dessert is made all over Brasil and can easily be made at home. The passion fruit can be found at most Mexican Markets. You can also use passion fruit juice or passion fruit concentrate to make up the juice.
Ingredients
1 can sweet and condensed milk (14 oz)
1 can table cream (7.6 oz)
1 3/4 cup passion fruit juice
1 cup cream, whipped
2 passion fruit (optional)
Instructions
1
In your blender, add all of the ingredients and blend until smooth (about 1 minute).
2
Pour the passion fruit mousse into 4-8 small serving dishes (the size of the will determine how many servings). This will make about 4 cups of mousse so choose your containers accordingly.
3
Chill for 2 hours or overnight before serving.
4
When ready to serve, cut the passion fruit open and remove the pulp placing into a fine mesh strainer.
5
Divide the passion fruit juice and seeds (seeds can be eaten) evenly between the mousse serving dishes. Top with whipped cream, serve and enjoy!
