BLT Pizza
If you’ve never tried this pizza you’re in for a treat! I love BLT sandwiches and combined all of the flavors into a this delicious pizza. It’s the Kewpie (Japanese mayonnaise) that really makes this pizza amazing!
Ingredients
For the Dough:
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup olive oil
4 cups flour
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp instant yeast
For the pizza:
3 cups tomato sauce
8 cups shredded cheese
4 cups cooked, diced bacon
4 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
2 cups diced tomatoes
1/3 cup Kewpie, Japanese Mayonnaise
Instructions
1
To make the dough, add the water, olive oil, flour, salt, sugar and instant yeast into the bowl of your mixer. Mix/knead for 10 minutes. Spray the dough with vegetable spray and cover. Allow to double in size (couple of hours).
2
Divide the dough into 2 portions and roll each portion into a round pizza (probably about 16-18 inches round).
3
Divide the tomato sauce and shredded cheese between the two pizza round and bake them off so the crust is cooked and cheese has melted, remove from the oven.
4
Dived the cooked/diced bacon, shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes between the two pizzas. Divide and drizzle the Kewpie (Japanese mayonnaise) over top of the pizza. Cut and serve the pizzas, enjoy!
