Black Pepper Chicken Stir-Fry with Cabbage

Craving a quick, flavorful dinner? This Black Pepper Chicken Stir-Fry with Cabbage is perfect for a weeknight meal. Juicy chicken, crisp cabbage, and a punch of black pepper make this stir-fry delicious and satisfying.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
2 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
1 bell pepper, sliced (optional for color)
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Salt, to taste
Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

1
In a small bowl, toss the chicken with cornstarch and a pinch of salt. Set aside.
2
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the cabbage and bell pepper, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they soften slightly. Remove vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
3
In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Add the chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes.
4
Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet with the chicken. Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, and freshly ground black pepper. Pour in 1/4 cup of water and cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken.
5
Remove from heat and serve over cooked rice. Enjoy your Black Pepper Chicken Stir-Fry with Cabbage!
