Beef Sliders with Avocado Salsa

These beef sliders with avocado salsa are perfect for any gathering. The juicy beef patties topped with a refreshing avocado salsa make for a delightful combination that’s sure to please everyone’s taste buds. Serve with chips and fresh watermelon on the side a delicious summertime treat.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
8 slider buns
8 slices of cheddar cheese (optional)
Lettuce leaves
Sliced tomatoes
Pickles
2 ripe avocados, diced
1 medium tomato, diced
1/4 red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1 jalapeño, seeded and finely chopped (optional)
Juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1
In a medium bowl, combine the diced avocados, tomato, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeño (if using). Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste. Gently toss the ingredients together until well mixed. Set aside.
2
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; do not overmix. Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a small patty.
3
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or skillet. Cook the beef patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
4
Toast the slider buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly browned. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a slice of tomato and a pickle. Place a beef patty on top of the vegetables. Generously spoon the avocado salsa over the beef patty. Top with the other half of the bun.
5
Serve the beef sliders immediately while they are hot, with extra avocado salsa on the side if desired.
