BBQ Chicken and Rub
Delicious grilled chicken is always a meal pleaser. The season rub with this recipe is perfect for chicken, beef or pork. Be sure your chicken is cooked to 165 degree’s to be fully cooked.
Ingredients
BBQ Rub:
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup ancho chili
2 tbsp black pepper
2 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp celery salt
1/3 cup salt, kosher style
2 tbsp onion powder
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp cayenne pepper
6 Chicken Thighs
6 Chicken Breasts
Prepared BBQ sauce
Instructions
1
In a small bowl, whisk the BBQ rub spices together until combined.
2
Sprinkle the chicken pieces liberally with the spice rub and rub it in.
3
Grill the chicken pieces until fully cooked (165 degree’s internally). I like to fillet the chicken breast in half so they grill up evenly.
4
Once the chicken is fully cooked, brush with prepared BBQ sauce and grill for a couple of minutes to caramelize the bbq sauce.
5
Serve the bbq chicken with baked potatoes and grilled asparagus.
