Banana Sourdough Waffles

Banana Sourdough Waffles with Papaya and Coconut Syrup

Sour doughs are so easy to work with and I love the flavors they create!

Ingredients

1 cup flour self rising flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 large rip banana, peeled
2 eggs, slightly beaten
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 ½ cups buttermilk
Fresh Papaya, sliced
Coconut syrup

Instructions

1
To make the waffles, combine the self rising flour, salt, sugar, sourdough starter ( https://cookingwithchefbryan.com/recipe-view/sourdough-starter/ ), banana, eggs, vegetable oil and buttermilk in a blender and blend until combined. You can also whisk the ingredients together in a large bowl too.
2
Preheat your waffle iron and follow the manufactures directions for making the waffles in your waffle iron.
3
Remove from the waffle iron when golden brown and top with freshly sliced papaya and coconut syrup ( https://cookingwithchefbryan.com/recipe-view/tropical-pancakes-coconut-syrup/ ). Serve and enjoy!
