Banana Cream Puffs

These delicious treats are a fancy dessert idea for dinner. Not only are these banana cream puffs fancy to serve, they are so easy to make. Everyone needs to make these and enjoy!

Ingredients

Ingredients for the Pâte à Choux Dough: 1 cup water
¾ stick butter (3 ounces)
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup eggs (about 5 eggs)
For the Banana Filling: 2 bananas, sliced
2 cups cooked banana pudding
2 cups whipped cream

Instructions

1
Preheat your oven to 350 degree’s.
2
To make the dough, add the water, butter, salt and sugar to a large sauce pan and bring to a boil. Stir to make sure all the butter melts.
3
Add the flour to the sauce pan and stir until the mixture pulls together into a soft ball.
4
Let the cooked flour mixture cool for about ten minutes. Add the eggs one at a time until they are all incorporated into the dough.
5
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon 12 cream puffs onto the parchment lined baking sheet.
6
Place the cream puffs into the oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
7
Cut the tops off of the cream puffs, slice the bananas and divide them evenly between the bottom cream puffs.
8
Divide and spoon the prepared banana pudding between the cream puffs and top them with the top half of the cream puffs.
9
Whip the whipping cream and add a little sugar and vanilla to taste. Top each cream puff with a dollop of whipped cream. Serve and enjoy!
