Banana Chocolate Chip Cookie
Chocolate is truly a guilty pleasure of mine, however, I love bananas. So one day I decided to combine the two flavors into a cookie. I love cookies because I can dunk them in cold milk, they’re easy to make and you can make a lot of them at once!
Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp vanilla
1 tbsp creme de banana liquor
2 eggs
1 cup mashed bananas, ripe bananas
2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
3 1/4 cup flour
Instructions
1
Beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. This may take about 3-5 minutes.
2
Add the salt, nutmeg, baking powder, and vanilla extract. Blend together.
3
Add the eggs one at a time and make sure they are well blended. Scrape the bowl to ensure even blending.
4
Once the eggs are fully blended, add mashed bananas, and the chocolate chips. Blend everything together.
5
Add the flour and blend just until incorporated. Depending on how much liquid the bananas have, you may need to add additional flour to accommodate. Scrape the bowl. If the dough seems too wet, adjust the flour accordingly.
6
Drop the cookie dough on a prepared baking sheet and bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until golden.
7
Allow cookies to cool for about 10 minutes on the baking sheet and than remove them to a cooling rack. Once cooled, serve and enjoy!
