Authentic Greek Salad

Authentic Greek Salad

Enjoy a refreshing and vibrant taste of Greece with this authentic Greek Salad, known for its simple yet flavorful combination of fresh vegetables, tangy feta cheese, and a zesty olive oil dressing. Perfect as a side dish or a light meal, this salad captures the essence of Mediterranean cuisine. Pair with my pork souvlaki for a delicious dinner idea!

Ingredients

4 large tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 cucumber, sliced
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, sliced
1 red bell pepper, sliced
1 cup Kalamata olives
200g feta cheese, cut into cubes or crumbled
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1-2 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a large salad bowl, combine the tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and bell peppers.

Add the Kalamata olives and gently toss to mix the ingredients.

Top the salad with the feta cheese cubes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.

Drizzle the dressing over the salad, and toss gently to combine.

Serve immediately, or refrigerate for up to 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
