Elevate your dinner with these Apple and Sage Stuffed Pork Chops! Juicy pork chops are filled with a delicious stuffing of apples, fresh sage, and breadcrumbs, creating a mouthwatering blend of flavors. Perfect for a cozy evening meal, this recipe brings a touch of autumn to your table.

Ingredients

4 thick-cut pork chops (bone-in or boneless, about 1 1/2 inches thick)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup diced apple (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp works well)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1 tbsp fresh sage, chopped (or 1 tsp dried sage)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1/4 cup chicken broth
Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1
Prep the Pork Chops: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Using a sharp knife, carefully slice a pocket into the side of each pork chop. Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
2
Make the Stuffing: In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the diced apple, onion, and sage, and cook until softened (about 5 minutes). Stir in the breadcrumbs and cinnamon, cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
3
Stuff the Pork Chops: Spoon the apple mixture into each pork chop pocket, dividing evenly. Press the stuffing in tightly.
4
Sear the Pork Chops: In an oven-safe skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the stuffed pork chops for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
5
Bake the Pork Chops: Add the chicken broth to the skillet, then transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
6
Finish and Serve: Remove the pork chops from the oven and allow them to rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
