Meatloaf
Meatloaf is always a delicious idea for dinner. This simple recipe is a good one so get your family and friends around the table and enjoy!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups crush saltine crackers
1 cup Italian herbed bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
2 eggs
2 pounds 20% fat ground beef
1 pound mild Italian sausage
1 cup ketchup
Instructions
1
In a large bowl, combine the crushed saltine crackers, Italian herbed bread crumbs and milk. Mix everything together and let sit for about 5 minutes.
2
I like to chop the celery and onion in my food processor, pulsing it 7-8 times or until they are finely chopped.
3
Add the onion mixture to the cracker mixture along with the worcestershire sauce and eggs. Mix together to combine.
4
Add the ground beef and mild Italian sausage to and mix everything together.
5
On a parchment lined baking sheet, place the meatloaf and shape into a “french loaf” and spread the ketchup over the top of the meatloaf evenly.
6
Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes or until it is fully cooked through.
7
Remove from the oven and let the meatloaf sit for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!
