Pepperoni Pizza
I LOVE pizza and pepperoni is my favorite…right now.
Ingredients
For the Dough:
2 cups water
2 tsp yeast
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
5-6 cups flour
For the Toppings:
Italian style tomato sauce
Pepperoni
Mozzarella Cheese
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Garlic
Green Onion
Red Onion
Instructions
1
To make the dough, add the water and yeast to your mixing bowl and let it sit for 10 minutes.
2
Add the olive oil, sugar, salt and flour. Mix everything together adjust water and flour if necessary to create a soft dough. Knead for 15 minutes, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, cover and let double in size.
3
When ready to make the pizza, preheat your oven to 450 degrees (preferrable with a pizza stone in it) weigh out about 1 pound of dough (this recipe will make enough for about 2 - 3 pizza’s) and on a floured pizza peel press the dough into a 10 inch diameter circle.
4
Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and sprinkle lightly with garlic. Bake the pizza on your preheated pizza stone or baking sheet for about 8-10 minutes or just until you see a little browning around the edges.
5
Remove the partially bake pizza dough from the oven and spread one cup of tomato sauce onto the pizza followed by cheese and pepperoni.
6
Place the pizza back in the oven until it is fully cooked, cheese has melted and is bubbling. Remove from the oven, cut, serve and enjoy!
