Ingredients

12 ounces of ziti pasta
1 pound of ground beef
1 onion, diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon of dried basil
1 teaspoon of dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions in a large skillet. Drain and set aside.

In the same skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.

Pour in the can of crushed tomatoes and add the dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Add the cooked ziti pasta to the skillet and stir everything together.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta mixture.

Cover the skillet and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
