Ingredients

1-2 pounds ground hamburger
8 cups chopped lettuce
1 large onion, sliced
2 cups chopped cheese
Sliced tomatoes, If desired
Cooked bacon chopped, if desired
For the dressing: 1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
1 tbsp prepared bbq sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil, if needed

Instructions

1
Heat a large fry pan on the stove over medium-high heat. If using lean meat, add a little cooking oil to the pan.
2
Brown the ground hamburger in the pan until fully cooked, breaking up the meat with a spatula as needed. Once cooked, remove the pan from the heat and set aside.
3
In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, BBQ sauce, and salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.
4
To assemble the burger bowl, divide the chopped lettuce between 4-6 bowls, filling each bowl about 2/3 full.
5
Add the cooked hamburger on top of the lettuce in each bowl, dividing the meat equally between the bowls.
6
Layer the sliced onion, chopped cheese, sliced tomatoes, and chopped cooked bacon (if using) on top of the hamburger in each bowl.
7
Drizzle the dressing over each burger bowl, dividing the dressing equally between the bowls.
8
Serve and enjoy your delicious and easy burger bowl! Feel free to top with any additional toppings you choose, such as pickles, jalapenos, or avocado.
