Honey Walnut Shrimp
I could eat this dish every single day. Easy to make and a definite crowd pleaser, this dish will be a new favorite of yours!
Ingredients
2 pounds shrimp, shell removed, deveined, butterflied
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
2 cups walnuts
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1 egg
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sweet and condensed milk
1 tbsp honey
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for frying
Instructions

Prepare the shrimp by shell removed, deveining and butterflying them. Set them aside.

Add the sugar and water to a sauce pan and bring to boil stirring to make sure the sugar is fully dissolved. Boil for a couple of minutes than add the walnuts. Stir to coat the walnuts.

Spray a baking dish liberally with cooking spray and pour the walnuts onto the prepared pan. Mix them around to get the sugar to re-crystallize, let cool and break them up, set aside.

To make the batter for dipping the shrimp in mix the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, egg, water and oil in a bowl until fully combined with no lumps.

Heat enough oil to deep fry the shrimp, dipping the prepared shrimp in the batter and frying until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

To make the sweet sauce, combine the mayonnaise, sweet and condensed milk along with the honey in a bowl and mix together to combine.

Toss the deep fried shrimp with the sweet and condensed milk mixture. Add the candied walnuts and toss together to combine. Serve with your favorites sides and enjoy.
