Chicken Pillows with Garlic Bechamel Sauce
Delicious chicken pillows with a garlic béchamel sauce is the perfect comfort food treat for dinner.
Ingredients
8-10 chicken thighs
1 pkg cream cheese, 8 oz package
1 carton ricotta cheese, 15 oz container
1 pkg puff pastry or container buttery crescent rolls, 8 roll container
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup freshly minced garlic
1/3 cup flour
1 cup chicken stock
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
Season salt and pepper to taste

Season the chicken thighs to taste and bake in a 350 degree oven until they are fully cooked. Remove from the oven, let cool and shred the chicken meat into a bowl.

To the chicken add the cream cheese and ricotta cheese mixing everything together. Season to taste.

Cut the thawed puff pastry sheet or the rolled out buttery crescent rolls from the can into quarters. Spoon some of the chicken mixture into the center of each piece of puff pastry/crescent roll and fold up, pinching the edges to seal.

Place on a parchment lined baking sheets and brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cheese.

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven until golden brown.

While the chicken pillows are baking, heat a large pan on the stove and add the 4 tbsp butter and melt. Sprinkle the flour over the melted butter and stir to combine.

Whisk in the chicken stock and milk to fully incorporate. Bring to a simmer while stirring and let the mixture thicken. Add the shredded parmesan cheese and stir to combine.

Serve the chicken pillows with the garlic béchamel sauce and your favorite sides.
