Sloppy Joe Pizza

Sloppy Joe Pizza

Tired of the same old sloppy joe recipe? Try turning your sloppy-joes into a delicious pizza. This sloppy joe pizza is fun to make and eat for kids, family, neighbors or just about anyone.

Ingredients

For the Dough: 3 cups flour
1 1/2 cup water
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp instant yeast
1 tbsp salt
For the Sloppy Joe Topping: 1 pound ground hamburger
1 can Manwich sauce (15 oz can)
1 pkg sloppy joe seasoning package
1 cup water
For the Pizza: One large onion, sliced
2 cups sliced mushrooms
4-6 cups shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese, mixed

Instructions

1
To make the dough, place the flour, water, olive oil, instant yeast and salt in the bowl of your mixer with the dough hook. Mix for about 15 minutes, making sure the dough has pulled together and is smooth. Spray with vegetable spray, cover and let double in size.
2
To make the sloppy joe mixture, brown the hamburger (drain off excessive oil if needed), add the Manwich sauce, sloppy joe seasoning package and water. Mix everything together until combine, simmer for ten minutes. Remove from heat and set aside until ready to use.
3
Divide the dough into two equal balls and shape each ball into about a 14-16 inch round pizza.
4
Divide the hamburger and sauce between each pizza along with the sliced mushrooms, onions and cheese.
5
Bake each pizza in a 500 degree oven for about 12 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling. Remove from the oven, allow to cool for about 5 minutes, cut and serve. Enjoy!
