This rustic herbed stuffing is perfect for Thanksgiving!

Rustic Herbed Stuffing

This delicious rustic herb stuffing recipe is courtesy of my friends at Vessel Kitchen

Ingredients

4 cups dried bread cubes
1 tbsp dried sage
2 tsp poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp black pepper
5 tbsp butter
1 cup diced celery
1 cup diced onions
2 cups turkey broth
1 egg

Instructions

1
In a large bowl mix the bread cubes, sage, poultry seasoning and black pepper together and set aside.
2
Melt the butter in a sauté pan and cook the celery and onion for a couple of minutes until it is fragrant. Add all but 1 cup of the turkey broth to the pan and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for about 15 minutes.
3
Whisk the egg in the remaining 1 cup of broth and mix into the celery mixture that has cooled.
4
Pour the liquid over the bread mixture and carefully fold all together.
5
Transfer to a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 15 minutes, uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes more. Remove from the oven and serve.
