Cheeseburgers and French Fries
This wonderful cheeseburger recipe is a perfect bbq idea for any night of the week. I like to grind the meat myself with onion, garlic, pickles and steak seasoning to make an award winning burger!
Ingredients
2 lb chuck roast, cut into pieces
1 small onion, peeled and quartered
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup chopped dill pickle
1 tbsp steak seasoning (or to taste)
5 Russet potatoes, peeled
4-6 hamburger buns
Condiments of choice
Oil for frying
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1
In the bowl of your food processor with the blade attached, add the pieces of chuck roast, onion, minced garlic, dill pickles and steak seasoning. Pulse together until the meat is finely ground into hamburger.
2
Shape 4-6 patties and grill until they are fully cooked through. Season with salt and pepper as needed and top with cheese so it melts on the hamburger patty.
3
Slice the peeled russet potatoes into french fries and deep fry in a 350 degree oil for about 5 minutes. Remove from the fryer, rest 5 minutes and then fry an additional 3 minutes, remove from the fryer, rest for 5 minutes and fry again until golden brown.
4
Remove from the fryer, season as desired.
5
Build your cheeseburgers with your favorite toppings, serve with a serving a homemade french fries and enjoy!
