Black Bean Burger

Black Bean Burgers

Want a delicious meatless burger option? My black bean burgers are so delicious and really easy to make. You can grill, bake or fry them for the perfect burger.

Ingredients

1 medium onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
3-4 garlic clove, minced
2 cans black beans, drained
1 cup cooked red quinoa
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup feta cheese
1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
2 eggs
Olive oil
Hamburger buns
Condiments of choice
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Sauté the diced onion, bell pepper and garlic until fragrant and the onions are caramelized.

Drain and rinse the black beans and spread them on a baking sheet. Place in a 350 degree oven for about 10 minutes to dry them out slightly. Remove form the oven and set aside.

To the bowl of your food processor, add the sautéed onion mixture and pulse a couple of times. Add the black beans, cooked red quinoa, smoked paprika, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, feta cheese, Italian bread crumbs and 2 eggs. Pulse just until everything is just combined.

Shape into 6 patties or however many you choose to create. Place the patties on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes.

Remove from the oven, build you burger as desired and enjoy.
