Easy Honey Walnut Shrimp
When I go out to Chinese restaurants, I love to order honey walnut shrimp. This easy to make recipe will be a favorite of yours because it is so easy to make!

Ingredients
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Oil for frying
For the Dredging:
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp white pepper
For the Candied Walnuts:
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 cup whole walnuts (shelled of course)
For the Glaze:
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp sweet and condensed milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
1
Butterfly the shrimp, being careful not to cut all the way through them. Place the prepared shrimp in a large bowl.
2
To the shrimp add the baking soda, salt, white pepper, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Mix everything together until well combined, set aside.
3
In a separate bowl combine the 1/2 cup cornstarch 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper, mix together and set aside.
4
In a large pan, add the butter, water and brown sugar mixing together bringing the mixture to a bowl. Add the walnuts and simmer for 5-6 minutes until the sugar mixture thickens. Transfer the walnuts to a plate you’ve sprayed with vegetable spray and let them cool.
5
In a separate bowl whisk the mayonnaise, honey, sweet and condensed milk and lemon together. If needed, add a pinch of salt and set aside.
6
Heat a pot with about 2 inches of oil and dredge the shrimp in the cornstarch mixture and deep fry until fully cooked (about 1 minute). Remove from the oil and place them on a paper towel lined plate to drain extra oil off of them.
7
Add the cooked shrimp to the glaze along with the candied walnuts, stir to coat and serve with a side of rice and your favorite vegetable.
