Pigs in a Blanket
I love pigs in a blanket. These remind of my carefree days as a child in grade school. My mom even talks about here favorite meal from 50 years ago were pigs in a blanket. This simple recipe is a fun throwback recipe that your family and friends will love!
Ingredients
1 can Vienna Sausages
1 tube prepared crescent roll dough
1 package hot dogs
12 thawed out Rhodes Bake and Serve dinner or Texas roll dough
4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
3 cups milk
1 cube chicken bullion
1 frozen package peas
Instructions

Carefully remove the Vienna Sausages from the can and set aside.

Open the tube of prepared crescent roll dough and carefully separate out the crescent roll triangles.

Place one Vienna Sausage at the wide end of the crescent rectangle and roll up the crescent roll with the point being place down/under on the baking sheet. Continue until all have been rolled up.

To wrap the hot dog, make sure the Rhodes Bake and Serve dinner or Texas roll is thawed. Roll the dough into a log piece and wrap the hot dog in the dough rolling it up.

Bake the pigs in a blanket in a preheated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until the are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them rest while you make the creamed peas gravy to go with them.

In a large sauté pan melt 4 tbsp of butter and mix the flour into the melted butter. Whisk the milk and chicken bullion into the roux and while stirring bring to a boil. Stir in the package of frozen peas, adjust salt and pepper and serve over or to the side of the pigs in a blanket. Enjoy!
