Deep Fried Zucchini

Deep Fried Zucchini

Deep fried zucchini is amazing and whenever I see them on a menu, I like to order them. Dip them in your favorite sauce or use my jalapeño Ranch dipping sauce.

Ingredients

2 small zucchini, cut into wedges of “chips”
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
2 cups self rising flour
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 cup panko bread crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Oil for Deep Frying

Instructions

Depending on the type of deep fried zucchini you want, cut into wedges or “chips”. If you are using older zucchini, cut out the seeds before deep frying.

Whisk the buttermilk and eggs together in a medium size bowl and set aside.

Place the flour in a medium bowl and set aside.

Place the bread mixture in a medium size bowl and mix together, set aside.

Heat the oil to 375 degree’s. Should have about 6 inches of oil for deep frying.

Dip the zucchini wedges or chips into the egg mixture and then toss in the flour, repeating twice twice. After two flour coatings, dip back in the egg mixture and then into the bread crumb mixture.

Fry for about 4 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and serve with your favorite dip and enjoy!
