Peach Fritters
Fritters are the best and these peach fritters are so easy with #RhodesBakeandServeDough.
Ingredients
1 bag Rhodes Bake and Serve Dinner Rolls
1 1/2 cups peach pie filling
1/4 cup cinnamon
2 quarts vegetable oil
For the Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp water or milk
Instructions
1
Thaw the bag of Rhodes Bake and Serve dinner rolls and allow them to double in size.
2
One the dough is ready, take half of the rolls and smash them together into a piece or dough.
3
Sprinkle the dough with the cinnamon and spread the peach pie filling over the dough.
4
Take the other dinner rolls and press them on top. Using a bench scrapper, cut the dough and peaches together folded over on itself several times. This should distribute the cinnamon and peach pie filling amongst the dough pieces.
5
Roll the mass of dough into a log and using your bench cutter, cut about 3 inch portions of the peach fritters. Place them on a parchment lined baking sheet you have dusted with flour and allow them to double in size.
6
Heat the oil to 370-375 degree’s and fry each fritter until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Be very careful when turning the fritters over so you don’t splash hot oil on your arms.
7
Removed the fritters from the oil and place them on a rack to drain off excess oil. I just put a cooling rack in a baking sheet and place them on top.
8
In a small bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, vanilla, water or milk together to create the glaze. Drizzle the freshly fried peach fritters with the glaze, serve and enjoy!
