Pan Seared Steak and Gravy
Pan searing a steak takes a little practices, however, you can master it! After pan searing your steak create a delicious pan sauce to go with it!
Ingredients
4 top sirloin steaks
2 cups sliced mushrooms
1 medium onion, sliced
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
2 cups beef broth
Steak Seasoning
Olive oil
Instructions

Season the steaks with your favorite steak seasoning.

Heat a large sauté pan on the stove and add enough olive oil to lightly coat the bottom of the pan.

Place the seasoned steaks into the hot pan and pan sear the steaks for about 5 minutes on each side on medium hi heat. Depending on the thickness and doneness of your steaks, you will need to adjust cooking times to reach the desired internal temperatures required.

Once the steaks reach the desired internal temperature you want, remove them and place on a plate to rest.

Add the sliced mushrooms, onion and butter into the pan and saute for about 3-5 minutes or until the mushrooms are cooked and the onions are caramelized.

Sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms and onions in the pan and mix everything together to incorporate the flour.

Pour in the beef broth while stirring and bring the pan sauce to a boil while stirring.

Serve the steaks with mashed potatoes and sautéed fresh zucchini. Spoon the pan sauce over the steaks and mashed potatoes and enjoy!
