Steak Fries with Utah Dipping/Fry Sauce
Appetizer food is the best! These steak fries are perfect for get togethers with family and friends! Use a mix of potatoes for a variety of flavors.
Ingredients
6-8 medium potatoes (Klondike, Russets, Yukon…)
4 eggs, whisk
4 cups Italian style bread crumbs
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup bbq sauce
2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Wash the potatoes and slice them in half lengthwise. Slice each half into 3-4 slices depending on how thick you want the steak fries.
2
Rinse the steak fries and pat them dry with a paper towel.
3
Dredge the potato slices in whisked eggs and then in the Italian style bread crumbs to coat.
4
Fit a cooling rack inside a baking sheet and place the prepared steak fries skin side down on the rack.
5
Spray the prepared steak fries with vegetable spray and place them into a preheated 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until they are golden brown.
6
While the steak fries are cooking, in a medium size bowl combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, bbq sauce and sweet pickle relish. Mix everything together and serve with your steak fries. I also like to serve the steak fries with my kale pesto and kale pesto hummus.
