Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast Dippers

Peanut Butter and Jelly French Toast Dippers

Here’s a perfect party appetizer or breakfast treat. Try making your own nut butter to give this delicious French toast dippers a wonderful twist.

Ingredients

4-6 eggs
1/2 cup milk
12 slices of bread
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup jelly (choose your favorite)
1 stick butter, softened (8 tbsp)
1 cup syrup, choose your favorite

Instructions

In a large bowl whisk the egg and milk together, set aside.

Divide and spread the peanut butter and jelly between 6 bread slices. Top each slice of bread, creating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Slices each peanut butter and jelly sandwich into 3-4 slices.

Dip each slice into the egg mixture and fry the slices on a skillet until golden brown. Rotate the slices, making sure each side are golden brown.

To make the dipping sauce, combine the softened butter and your favorite syrup and mix them together until they are well combine.

When the peanut butter and jelly french toast dippers are cooked, spread them with the syrupy butter mixture, or dip them in it (warm the butter mixture to create more of a liquid).
