Grizzlies Pizza

Grizzlies Pizza

When it comes to a favorite food of mine, pizza is at the top of my list. This pizza recipe is inspired by the players and coach of the #UtahGrizzles hockey team.

Ingredients

For the Dough: 4 cups flour
1/3 cup gluten
2 tbsp yeast
3/4 cup olive oil
3 cups water
For the Toppings: 4 cups pizza sauce
4 cups cooked Italian sausage
1 package pepperoni ( 6 oz pkg)
6 cups shredded cheese
Use your favorite toppings too

Instructions

1
To make the dough, combine the ingredients into you mixer and mix for 15-20 minutes. If needed, adjust the water or flour to create the dough.
2
Spray a large bowl with vegetable spray and transfer the dough to the large bowl. Spray the dough with vegetable spray, cover and let it double in size.
3
Once the dough has doubled, cut the dough into 12 -14 ounce portions for each pizza.
4
On a floured work surface, shape the pizza into a 14 inch round.
5
Spread about 3/4 cup of pizza sauce onto the pizza round spreading it evenly across the dough surface. To make the pizza sauce check out my pizza sauce recipe: https://cookingwithchefbryan.com/recipe-view/pizza-balls/ .
6
Sprinkle one cup of shredded cheese over the pizza and top with 1 cup cooked sausage and about 20 pepperoni slices.
7
Bake the pizza in a preheated 500 degree oven. I preheat my pizza stone in the oven so it’s hot.
8
Once the pizza is ready to go into the oven, transfer it to the preheated pizza stone and bake for approximately 5-7 minutes or until the the pizza is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
9
Remove from the oven, slice, serve, repeat and enjoy!
10
I actually like to add many toppings that I may have in the fridge from pork roasts, french fries or any variety of cheese.
